set out on a journey to create the most spectacular wildlife safari
circuit in Africa. Our two exclusive camps in northern and western
Serengeti lie along the routes of the annual wildebeest migration,
allowing our guests to witness this great wildlife spectacle from
its midst. At the Ngorongoro Crater, our dramatic new lodge discreetly
overlooks an untamed Eden of mountains, forests and plains teeming
with wild animals. At the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment
rests Lake Manyara. On her banks Lake Manyara Tree Lodge's verandas
provide a panoramic view of wild elephants against a rose backdrop
of countless flamingoes wading in the lake waters. |
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater Lodge: 30 deluxe rooms
This lodge has commanding views of the crater floor. It introduces

The Serengeti
Kleins Camp (North-East Serengeti): 10 cottages
Perched on the edge of the Kuka Hills, ten thatched cottages with whitewashed walls and rich wooden floors look down to the valleys below. The stone interiors of the guest areas open up to breathtaking panoramas and deep leather armchairs invite you to while away the midday hours. In the evening, guests gather around blazing fireplaces to share the adventures of the day. Fine linen, silver and china sparkle in the candlelight of the open dining areas, while mouth-watering aromas drift through from the camp kitchen.

Grumeti River Camp: 10 Tents
Situated beneath tall evergreen trees, the whimsical sweep of flamboyant safari tents hides a blaze of colour in the delightful interiors, with quirky touches and tongue-in-cheek surprises. Al fresco showers are open to the African sky, while the calls of hippo provide a nightly serenade. Traditional fires and outdoor ovens produce mouth watering dinners under a billion stars. This is the perfect vantage point for one of the most famous fording points of the wildebeest migration.
The Serengeti National Park forms part of a huge conservation area, encompassing the adjacent Ngorongoro Conservation Area, well as the Masai Mara in neighbouring Kenya. With no fences or man-made barriers, huge numbers of wildlife move freely throughout this area, constantly recreating an ageless natural cycle. The magnificent Serengeti is famed for its vast tree-less grasslands allowing for excellent wildlife sightings. The Park boasts 35 species of plains-dwelling game and prolific birdlife. |

Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp is set in the remote reaches of the Park, on a bywater of the Grumeti River, known for its wildebeest crossings and enormous Nile crocodiles. Tucked into a strip of riverine forest, guests thrill to the antics of spectacular pied colobus monkeys (found nowhere else in the Serengeti) and enjoy nocturnal serenades by orchestras of owls and bushbabies.
Every year between June and July, Africa’s annual Great Migration passes through Grumeti, and hundreds upon thousands of wildebeest, zebra and other herbivores cross the Grumeti River, risking the jaws of some of Africa’s largest crocodiles.
Lake Manyara
Lake Manyara Tree Lodge: 10 tree house

This remote lodge blends intimacy and romance in cool, leafy surrounds. Spacious bedrooms float in a sea of green, with generous decks and massive windows opening up to the lush forest. Blow bubbles while contemplating the forest from your bath or soak under the steaming hot water of an outdoor shower. An interactive kitchen brings a touch of theatre to breakfast and lunch. Dinner each night is prepared and served in the open dining boma, encircled by a tall fence of gnarled wood.
