Bamako to Bamako – Camping and Hotels

Itinerary

Day 1: Bamako
Arrive in Bamako and check into your hotel.

Day 2: Bamako
City tour - visit the markets and a craft centre.

Day 3: Djenne
Drive to Djenne, the “Queen of the Delta” explore the fascinating market and visit the mosque, the largest mud building in the world.

Days 4-6: Dogon Villages/Sevare
Drive to the Dogon, start our trek through this fascinating tribal area of mud brick villages gaining an insight into their life.

Days 7–9: Niger Cruise
Explore the colourful markets of Mopti. Board small “pinasse” river craft, begin a three day journey along the Niger towards Timbuktu. Visit several Bozo and Peul villages.

Day 10/11: Timbuktu
Transfer to Timbuktu. Meet our Tuareg guide and climb aboard our camels for a ride to a nearby Tuareg settlement.

Day 12/13: Bamako
Transfer to the airport for our flight back to Bamako. Time to explore the wonderful town of Bamako.

Day 14: Bamako
Tour ends after breakfast.
