CC Africa’s fabulously funky Madikwe Safari Lodge (North West Province) opened for guests on 15 November 2004, offering awesome accommodation and exceptional game-viewing in the richly diverse Madikwe Game Reserve, as well as superlative service and unique regional cuisine – koeksisters and mampoer galore!
The exclusive-use Phinda Zuka Lodge (KwaZulu-Natal), is looking fabulous and is on track to open for guests on 15 December 2004. Comprising just four delightful bush cottages with private verandas overlooking a waterhole, the sole-use camp is perfect for families or private parties of up to eight people. With a dedicated ranger, tracker and butler, as well as a private game-viewing vehicle, guests will have the opportunity to tailormake every minute of their day.
Londolozi Private Game Reserve was awarded the 2004 Pommery Relais Environmental Award at the Relais & Chateaux Congress held in Paris. It is a great achievement for Londolozi to be the recipient of this award which is endorsed by UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme).
Recent guest feedback: “One word summarises our stay at Londolozi – fantastic! Everything was wonderful starting with the gentleman who picked us up from the airport – extra game ride on the way with spottings, through to Serena and James our hosts, to Richard the guide; Mishak the tracker and to Duan our personal waiter. Even the animals were on song with the female leopard obliging us for half an hour on day one, to the Zebras and Rhino with their little ones. Brilliant.”
EAST AFRICA NEWS
Great Explorer Safaris in Tanzania from June 2005: CC Africa Expeditions is expanding their exhilarating Great Explorer Safaris into Tanzania from June 2005. Two brand-new, unique itineraries – Burton’s Tanzania (9 days/8 nights) and Thomson’s Southern Serengeti (8 days/7 nights) – travel to Tanzania’s ultimate wilderness highspots, accommodating guests in fully serviced comfort. “With 34 years’ experience in guided wilderness camping safaris in Botswana and Namibia, and great guest demand for under canvas safaris along Tanzania’s extraordinary circuit, we have increased our operations into this wildly beautiful country. The main advantage of a guided mobile safari in Tanzania is the ability to follow the annual Great Migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra through the Serengeti – a once-in-a-lifetime experience”, said Expeditions’ Director Graham Kennedy.
Mnemba Island Lodge (Zanzibar) was rated in Susan D' Arcy's 'heavenly seven' private islands feature in UK Sunday Times Travel Magazine December 2004. She describes Mnemba as “castaway chic at its best”. Guest feedback has been fabulous.
Believe it or not, if you were at Grumeti River Camp (Western Serengeti) this past week you would have been lucky enough to possibly see the entire wildebeest Migration on one of the best viewing plains in the Serengeti – the Musabi plain…read more
