SOUTH AFRICA NEWS

  • Table Mountain Arial Cable Way (Cape Town) is closing for renovations of the cable way from 26 July until 8 August
  • The whales have arrived. Each year Southern Right whales move into the coastal waters of the Western Cape to calve and nurse their young. The mammals, often mere metres from the shore, provide unsurpassed viewing opportunities between June and November. Whales have been spotted in Walker Bay and Namaqualand is blooming – it is a wonderful time to visit the Western Cape and take advantage of all the Green Season specials.
  • Rhino Walking Safaris in Kruger National Park. Plains Camp has four luxury African explorer-style tents overlooking the spectacular Timbitene plain and waterhole. Rhino Post Camp is a 16-bed lodge, set on the banks of the Mutlumuvi Riverbed, in a 12,000 ha private wilderness concession in the Kruger National Park. Contact us for further information.

SPOTLIGHT ON EAST AFRICA

TANZANIA

  • The Great Migration was in the Seronera area of the Serengeti last week, with the tail end south of Seronera. The main body of herbivores seem to have moved on in the direction of the western Serengeti, but have not yet been seen on the main road to Grumeti. They are believed to be currently in the hill region. We can tailormake a unique safari to witness this amazing spectacle - and we recommend combining it with the pristine Southern Tanzanian wilderness for the ultimate travel experience.

We are thrilled to announce that CC Africa’s remarkable new lodges in Southern Tanzania – Selous Safari Camp, Jongomero and Ras Kutani – opened today with CC Africa management happily at the helm. Together with our extraordinary lodges in Northern Tanzania – Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, Grumeti River Camp, Klein’s Camp and Mnemba Island Lodge – CC Africa is able to offer our guests the definitive Tanzanian safari circuit.
