14 Days Johannesburg to Livingstone Accommodated Safari

Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg to Khama Rhino Sanctuary
Departing Johannesburg head north into Botswana to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary, situated on the Kalahari sandveld. The area provides prime habitat for White Rhino, Zebra and Wildebeest.

Day 2: Maun
Drive through the central Kalahari to Maun, gateway to the Okavango Delta. Relaxing afternoon by the pool.

Days 3,4,5: Okavango Delta Local guides take us deep into the heart of the Okavango Delta on Mokoros (dugout canoes). Camping wild on remote islands in this excellent wildlife area. Return to Maun on day 5. Days 6 and 7: Moremi Take open 4WD Land Rovers into the Moremi Game Reserve for fantastic game viewing! We spend 3 days on game drives watching the abundant wildlife including elephant, hippo, buffalo, lion & other game. Return to Maun on the final night. Days 8 and 9: Savuti Moving north over the sand ridge and into the Mababe depression we arrive at the Savuti Marsh. This open grassland area attracts herds of zebra and wildebeest, which in turn draw the large lion prides that Savuti is famous for. We camp in the area for 2 nights with time to explore the various habitats. The waterhole near camp is also a favorite drinking point for many elephant and the sunsets here are fantastic.

Days 10 and 11: Chobe National Park
Onto Chobe for 2 nights camping on the Chobe River. Early morning 4WD game drive in the Chobe National Park and an afternoon game viewing “sundowner” cruise to see the mighty elephant return to the Chobe River to quench their thirst.

Days 12 and 13: Victoria Falls/Livingstone
Onto Victoria Falls to camp for 2 nights in Zambia near Livingstone town. We visit “Mosi oa Tunya” or “the smoke that thunders” - Victoria Falls. Opportunities to white water raft on the mighty Zambezi River, Bungi Jump, or take a “flight of angels” (at own expense).

Day 14: Livingstone
Tour ends at 0800 in Livingstone.
