Itinerary:Day 1: Depart Maun on light aircraft to Ker & Downey’s Footsteps Camp. Met by your guides and transfer in a 4x4 safari vehicle to camp. This afternoon we set out on a short walk, allowing you to become accustomed to some of the sights sounds and smells of the African Bush. Overnight in Camp. Day 2 and 3: These days are spent enjoying game activities in the area. Between activities parents are left to relax while their children are watched over by their guides - learning some traditional bush skills, such as basket weaving or carving. During your stay activities include game drives, mokoro excursions (dug out canoe), walks and fishing. |

Day 4: After breakfast and a discussion – you will then be awarded your Okavango Delta certificate and shirt making you an official member of a truly select group of bushrangers, the Ker & Downey Young Explorers!! Transfer by light aircraft back to Maun.
Price includes: 3 nights full inclusive accommodation, services of 2 experienced guides, a personal chef, waiter, housekeeper and mokoro guides, all game activities, all meals, snacks and beverages whilst in camp, Daily laundry service available, VAT.
This specially designed safari offers family’s total exclusivity of a private 8 bedded lodge situated in a conservancy in the Kalahari area -Edo’s Camp. Activities include - guided walks tracking rhino, game drives, tour of bushman village and gathering food with the women, visit to the children’s orphanage and birding walks – a total wilderness education. (Children 7 years and over)
Day 1: Depart Maun by road (2 hours) to Ker & Downey’s Edo Camp. Accommodation is provide in luxury large walking in tents built on decks with en suite bathrooms. This afternoon we relax in camp and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as the wildlife comes down to drink at the pan in front of camp uninterrupted by predators. The pan can be host to hundreds of kudu, impala and springbok. Overnight in Camp. Day 2 and 3: A special part of your experience will be to meet with one of the world’s oldest cultures – the San Bushmen. We join the women and children as they collect a range of medicinal and edible plant life. One of the big adventures will be to join the guides tracking rhino. The bushmen will locate some fresh tracks and you will be off on foot through the bush and scrub following the bushmen’s calls and hand signals. Plus there are numerous bird walks and game drives. We also visit the local orphanage. You are welcome to bring books or other items from home to share with the children. |
