No more packing and unpacking……. With Shongololo your
hotel travels with you. In 16 pleasure filled days the Shongololo
Safari Train travels from Johannesburg to Cape Town via The Kruger
National Park, Zululand, Kimberley and The Garden Route. At each stop
of your tour, there are a variety of day tours from which to choose
- all included in the tour price. Our vehicles which travel aboard
the Shongololo disembark at each stop and are used for our excursions,
with friendly experience guides to take you every step of the way. |

There are two trains which operate on the Shongololo Safari Routes: -
The Heritage Train - operating on the Southern Cross Route
The Africa Train – operating on the Good Hope Route
Categories of accommodation consist of: -
Ivory - shared bathroom facilities & fan in compartment
Gold - private bathroom facilities & fan in compartment
Emerald - private bathroom facilities, air-conditioning in compartment & small lounge (only available on the Heritage Train)
Commodore - private bathroom facilities, air-conditioning and heating in compartment
We offer two different packages on each train journey – either LIGHT or PLUS packages:
The LIGHT package includes: Arrival and departure transfer from airport to train, accommodation on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis (15 nights), a Choice of Five (5) activities included (The balance of the day activities can be bought on board the train)
The PLUS package includes: Arrival and departure transfer from airport to train, accommodation on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis (15 nights), a choice of daily activities included.
NOT included: Lunches, Beverages, Laundry, Pre-night accommodation.
