Gourmet Hunter Valley
8.00AM – Sydney Departure:
Your vehicle and guide will collect you from your central meeting location. Departing Sydney, we travel north directly to the Hunter Valley, which is nestled in the lee of the Great Dividing Range.
On arrival into the valley, our first stop is at the award winning Leogate Estate. This opulent cellar door is the perfect place to enjoy that unique taste which only the Hunter Valley and their award-winning wines can provide. The Brokenback Vineyard was planted in the late 1960s by one of Australia’s wine industry legends Len Evans and we will enjoy personalised tasting (your choice) of 6 wines with individual serving of Cheddar Cheese, Lavosh and Relish to accompany.
Arrive at the spacious and contemporary Cockfighter’s Ghost Cellar Door located on the historic Post Office Vineyard. Surrounded by the region’s oldest shiraz vines dating back to the 1890’s, which makes our Flagship Poole’s Rock Shiraz, here we enjoy a tasting of a selection of their most popular wines. We then adjourn to the Hunters Quarter, a contemporary dining experience with welcoming service in a unique and beautiful setting. Here a 3 course lunch food only is included.
After lunch the final stop is at Tulloch Wines. For over 122 years, the Tulloch family has been passionate about producing hand crafted, premium wines made to enjoy. Here we will enjoy a delightful tasting. Before leaving the Hunter Valley we will take time for a visit to a local Cheese Shop and Chocolate Lovers Heaven – Cocoa Nib. This beautiful boutique chocolate shop uses only the finest French couverture chocolate and their award-winning chocolates are freshly handmade in small batches and preservative free. Depart from the Hunter Valley approximately 3.30pm to to arrive back in Sydney approximately 5.30- 6.00pm
