Malawi is known as the “Warm Heart of Africa” — evident by the friendly, humble people that abound in one of the smaller, yet most varied countries of Africa. The sights are numerous: from the ever-changing vegetation that clings to the hem of soaring mountains, to the tranquility of the lake shore and the vista in between. Malawi features many national parks and good accommodation with a reprieve from the mass of tourism seen by its neighbours — it is the intimate Africa…….the ‘warm heart of Africa’.

This is a short safari to enjoy the highlights of Malawi – relax on beautiful Mumbo Island and discover the amazing wildlife of Liwonde National Park.

Day 1: Liwonde National Park

Depart Blantyre and transfer to Liwonde National Park – one of Malawi’s premier game parks – offering some of the most scenic game viewing in beautiful riverine surroundings. From elephants to sable antelope and warthogs plus prolific bird watching opportunities. This is a spectacular national park and the scarcity of large predators makes it ideal for walking and boating safaris.
