Itinerary

Day 1/2/3: Orpheus Island (Great Barrier Reef)
Depart Townsville on flight to Orpheus Island (not included in cost). On arrival you will met and transferred to the lodge for 3 night accommodation in a South Room including all gourmet meals, a selection of quality wine, beers and soft drinks during your stay. Enjoy daily curated Orpheus experience – snorkelling, fishing, island cruise or nature-based guided activity plus unlimited use of motorised dinghies, paddle boards, kayaks, catamaran, snorkelling equipment and light fishing gear. Time to relax and enjoy the resort

Accommodating just 28 people, Orpheus is an all-inclusive, private island lodge located in the Great Barrier Reef. With only 14 rooms, suites and villas, Orpheus Island is the ultimate in secluded, unspoilt tropical paradise, and stretches across 11km of immaculate turquoise coastline. The island itself, comprising more than 1,000 hectares of national park, is surrounded by pristine fringing reef you can access simply by stepping out from your accommodation. The island lodge features the main pavilion bar and alfresco-style dining area, a restaurant, a reading room, Gwandalan Day Spa and an inviting 25m x 13m infinity pool that mirrors the Coral Sea.

Day 4/5: Daintree Eco Lodge
Depart on your flight back to Townsville and connect with a scheduled flight to Cairns (not included in cost). On arrival you will be met and transferred by road to the natural beauty of the Daintree Forest for 2 nights’ accommodation in a Rainforest Bayan at Daintree Eco Lodge. Your stay will include Daily à la carte breakfast at the Julaymba Restaurant, 1 x lunch hamper,3 course dinner at the Julaymba Restaurant, one evening 6 course private ‘Rainforest Lagoon’ degustation dinner, Daily rainforest experience (e.g. Daintree River Cruise and rainforest walk) and a selection of quality wines, beers and soft drinks.

The Daintree Ecolodge is the perfect destination to reconnect with nature and the people you love. Believed to be over 180 million years old, and the oldest tropical lowland rainforest on Earth, the Daintree Rainforest is a rare jewel in the crown of Mother Nature, where lush tropical rainforest meets sweeping white sand beaches and fringing coral reefs. The Ecolodge features a main lodge with a bar, a rainforest restaurant and dining area overlooking the onsite lagoon, the Daintree Wellness Spa, an inviting swimming pool, private and pristine onsite waterfall and swimming hole and a multitude of quiet areas amongst the lush tropical rainforest to relax and unwind. Fresh, clean water from the purest source combined with organic, healthy foods guarantee an uplifting and sustainable getaway.

Day 6/7/8: Mt Mulligan – Outback
Transfer by road back to Cairns. Depart Cairns on Helicopter flight to Mt Mulligan (not included in cost). On arrival you will be met and transferred to Mt Mulligan Lodge for 3 night in an Outback Room including all meals, a selection of quality wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks, a daily outback experience – ATV adventure, sunset drinks, tour of historic Mount Mulligan township and coal mine or 4WD safari to Tyrconnell Gold Mine, Unlimited use of paddle boards, kayaks, electric buggy and light fishing gear.

Guests staying at Mt Mulligan Lodge will be able to experience the spirit of the North Queensland back-country through a captivating landscape with indigenous significance dating back 37,000 years. The expansive property bears the marks of the historic gold and coal rush and in its current operation, as a working cattle station, the pastoral history of Australia.

Iconic historical sites on the property include the old Mount Mulligan township, cemetery and coal mine, Tyrconnell gold mine, the old Cobb & Co staging posts and crossing, Lizzie Redmond mine shaft and the General Grant mine.

The majestic Mount Mulligan dominates the surrounding landscape; the conglomerate and sandstone tabletop mountain boasts a spectacular 18 kilometre escarpment that towers over the surrounding Australian eucalyptus woodlands. Mt Mulligan Lodge lies beneath this undiscovered landmark with views overlooking a sparkling weir and is an all-inclusive luxury property accessible via a 35-minute scenic helicopter flight from Cairns or a 2.5-hour 4WD adventure from Cairns.

Day 9:
Tansfer back to Cairns via Helicopter (not included in price)
