All information and prices contained on the website and subsequent invoice are correct at time of publishing. Changes may have occurred, beyond our control, due to a number of factors, including currency fluctuations, tour content, standards of service, airfares and airline schedules. Please check with The Africa Safari Co. or your Travel Agent prior to finalising your booking and paying deposits to ensure all information you have is correct.
• To confirm a reservation, a booking form must be completed and a deposit received. A booking is accepted subject to the receipt of written confirmation from The Africa Safari Co.
• A deposit of 30% is required to secure a reservation and final payment is due 90 days prior to departure. If a reservation is made within 90 days prior to departure then full monies must be received prior to confirmation.
- A 30% deposit is required at the time of making a booking. Some tours require higher deposits to meet the tour operators’ booking conditions. (These details are available from The Africa Safari Co. and will be reflected on your invoice.)
- Full payment is required on Gorilla Safaris. The purchase of a gorilla trekking permit is non-refundable.
Late Booking Fee
A late booking fee of $60.00 will be levied against any booking received within 14 days prior to departure. Plus full monies must be received, prior to booking being confirmed.
Should you wish to amend your booking or transfer your booking to another departure date, you should notify us in writing and an automatic minimum charge of $50.00 will be levied, plus any cancellation charges applicable.
Departure Taxes and Airfares
All departure taxes are an additional cost and not included in website/brochure prices and are subject to change without notice.
Cancellations and Refunds
Should you need to cancel a reservation, please notify us in writing. Cancellation charges will take effect from the date of receipt of your written cancellation. All monies will be refunded, less incurred costs as follows:
- More than 90 days prior to departure – Loss of deposit
- Between 90 – 60 days prior to departure – 75% of fare
- Less than 60 days prior to departure – 100% of fare
The non-issuance of an invoice or the non-payment and or/non-receipt of a deposit will not exempt passengers from these cancellation charges.
Minimum Stay Booking Fee
As a Specialist Tour Operator, we will charge a booking fee of $30.00 per service which does not constitute a package such as overnight hotel reservations and car hire reservations. We will therefore not normally accept any booking under 5 nights. Exceptions at our discretion.
We strongly recommend that you are adequately insured for the full duration of your tour. We suggest you purchase insurance at the time you pay your deposit. The Africa Safari Co. will not accept responsibility for loss of deposit or full payment, loss or damage to baggage and personal items including camera equipment, personal injury and illness, medical expenses and/or cancellation of your trip due to circumstances beyond our control.
Should a tour price increase after a deposit has been received due to circumstances beyond our control — including currency fluctuation, air fare surcharges, fuel surcharges — then any increases up until the date of departure are to be paid by the passenger. If such increases are unacceptable, the passengers may cancel their booking but are still liable to pay any cancellation charges imposed in any way.
Should you encounter any problems on your holiday, it is always better to try and solve it directly with the supplier in Africa. If this is not possible and you wish to lodge a complaint, please do so in writing within 14 days of completing your Africa Safari Co. arrangements.

Considerable care has been taken to compile the information on this website and prices are based on the current exchange rate at time of printing. All prices in this brochure should be used as a guideline only. The Africa Safari Co. cannot be held responsible for any changes and should a tour price increase after a deposit has been received, then any increases up until the date of departure are to be paid by the passenger.
